Im looking into career options and this to me seems like a fantastic option, but i dont know alot about it. If there are any social workers that would like to tell me a bit about the job and whats involved.
a social worker basically looks out for you and makes sure you are treated properly. they are aimed to improve quality of life and are often given to children in care or children that have been abused, adopted, fostered etc if you are a caring person that cares about other people and love children this would be a great career option for you. i think you need to know about law and childrens rights etc. you have to do paperwork and decide what is best for a child in a certain situation

Social workers do many different things from certain types of counseling to helping people get the things they need, to helping clients plan what they can and should do in certain situations, to keeping up with government forms and more and more forms, to certain investigations and evaluations, A lot depends on the the setting in which they work, For example a school social worker will work with students and their families on issues such as truancy, possible abuse/neglect to determine of child protection is needed, to special needs situations, to training and assisting school counselors,to being sure homeless students get the services they need to be able to succeed in school, to helping community agencies help students. A hospital social worker helps patients arrange payment of hospital services, apply for appropriate programs, plan what they will do on discharge such as if rehab or a nursing home is needed, helps patients families plan follow up care and deal with their reactions to medical situations, they may also help evaluate situations with teen moms of newborns, help parents understand special needs kids and do tons of paperwork. A rape response socialwrker counsels rape victims and helps them make plans for their safety and recovery,
