I have been saving up to try to buy myself a new fireplace. I love the idea of having a feature fireplace in each room and am currently renovating my house. I am doing it slowly, room by room to make sure that it is done properly and I am spending quite a bit of money on each room in order to make sure that it looks really good. I really like the idea of having lots of fireplaces as we do have lots of chimneys and although some have been blocked in I think it would still be fun to have these lovely features, especially as the rooms are so big that there is easily enough room for them in there. I have been fortunate enough to get some lovely fireplace inserts at a scrap yard which will be great for downstairs but upstairs I am hoping to use gas fireplace inserts and so I will have to buy these new. I am sure that this will not be a problem but I will probably have to pay a bit more money for them as the others that I got were a bargain as the guy was just trying to get rid of them because they took up so much space. Still, money is not too much of an issue, to be honest… I just want to make sure that I get the right thing which will look really good.
