Saturday, June 21st, 2008

I’m sure many of you have had enough of having to pay for games that you put on your gaming system. Some of them may get too boring and you just get tired of playing. The thing is, you may already know of the free video games available on the almighty internet. In this article you will learn how to download these games. That’s easy, you say. Well it is if you follow these very easy tips from expert gamers.

First you will have to determine if a particular site offers free registration. Beware because many of these sites have viruses in them. Be aware too that some websites are better than the others. You will discover this if you have knowledge about the website’s support system. This is what the ‘frequently asked questions’ page is for. In it are things that will concern you regarding your search for free video games. Just like when you’re buying a game on the mall, you need to have good knowledge of the product first before buying it. Same holds true for getting into a website that offers free online games.

With these easy steps, downloading should be easy. Be wary of scams that always pose danger. Have a watchful eye on the viruses embedded here and there. Free online games will be present until there is a market for them. And with the way things are going, this is going to last for generations more.

How long does the life of a PSP fully charged last?

Thursday, November 29th, 2007
  1. idk i dont play those things
  2. 6 hours i think maximum
  3. go over to system settings and then go to battery, it will tell you, but i think its usualy like 6 hours not sure
  4. uhhh….24??Lol.. i’m not sure…
  5. if you use it for about an hour each day for 3 days it should be dead on the 3rd day, i have one and i use it for an hour mostly, but i don’t know longer than that, but i do know that the battery sucks lol.
  6. depends on what battery u get
u can buy a battry with good stamina in best buy and circut city
it will give u 5 more hours than the regular batery
    Normal = 5
Buy new battery with good stamina = 12 - 15 hours

depends on what use u give to ur PSP
playing with a UMD disc would make the PSP run out fo battery fast since the disc reader is working
but if u just use it ti listen to music watch videos and all of that or thing that dont involve games ur battery would last longer

Is a buffalo head nickel still valuable if you cant see the year on it because it’s so worn out?

Thursday, October 25th, 2007
  1. It is probably still worth at least 5 cents.
  2. Sorry :-( I don’t think so, and to worth more than a quarter, it would have be in perfect condition.
There are a lot of them still out there, so they aren’t yet that valuable…except for a few years , I cant think of exactly which ones right now and still they are not worth that much, if in good condition around $3.50
  3. The value is based on the date being there! even if just the last 2 numbers are all thats left there, it has value above 5 cents.
  4. Yes it is don’t spend it just keep it .
  5. Not really

Give some tips to soften air drying clay?

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

If it is clay used in making ceramics and if it is the standard grade that requires a 4-6 cone when fired then it needs to be put in a plastic bag with a sopping wet rag and sealed up for a week or so. Or else immerse it in water that doesn’t completely cover it and wait for it to break back down.

. What are some easy, fun games to play at a child’s 4th B-day party? Theme is fairies.?

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

Keep the (helium filled) balloon in the air. try using only for example the head or only the feet for more fun.
pin the tail on the donkey
pinata (especially boys, mine LOVE wacking it)
treasure hunt, and let them design they’re own bags with markers
tag (including fun versions like freeze, tv, book, and amoeba, which just incase you dont know is when there is a tagger and when he/she tags another person they have to hold hands and tag other people and soon you have a huge chain of taggers. really fun game )
hide and go seek tag
duck duck goose
crab soccer
slip’n slide (great for outdoor hot weather)
musical chairs
follow the leader
hopscotch
four square
jump rope relay.
drawing with chalk
finger painting… i could go on and on…
one more thing: there is this really fun game played similarily to musical chairs. there is one big wrapped box that has tons of smaller wrapped boxes inside, getting smaller as you go along, till you have the smallest box. anyway, the game is: you pass the big box around in a circle and somebody plays music, stopping it at random times. whoever is holding the box when the music stops gets to unwrap a layer and it keeps going untill the last box lands in somebodies hands and this person is awarded with a prize of some kind.

How do you do street photography?

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

Use the SLR. The best and easiest one to use is the Pentax K-1000: a camera I wish Asahi Pentax would bring back to consumer sale.

You can go with a zoom, where you can stand quietly and shoot from distances where nobody sees you. Or you can just aim and stand there for a bit of time, eventually the folks around you will ignore you and maybe you’ll capture some candid moments on film.

And I’d also use chroma black and white film….or put on a sepia lens filter to get that “street” look to your pictures.

How do I properly shuffle a Rubik’s Cube?

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

The best way to ’scramble a Rubik’s cube’ is to do it the way the World Cube Association gets their cubes ready to be solved. To do this they run a computer program (which uses a random scrambling algorithm) and it tells them how to set up the puzzle. The program (and details) can be found at my source.

As for your second question I’m not quite sure how to set this up without programming a application to calculate it up. It would have to be the mathmatically largest ‘distance’ (via a series of moves) that you could get each color set away from each other. I’ll do some more research for you.

To experienced quilters — what are the 10 most essential tools a beginner needs (besides sewing machine)?

Saturday, September 8th, 2007

Tools you will need:

1) Rotary Cutter
2) Olfa Mat (or any other self-healing mat) 18″ x 24″ is a good size
3) Ruler- (Omnigrid is great) a 6″ x 12″ ruler is good
4) A good pair of fabric scissors to use only for cutting fabric. I use Fiskars
5) A good iron (for pressing when you are piecing)
6) Pins. Choose long, thin, sharp (dressmaker’s) pins for piecing and appliqueing. They should also be rustproof.
7) Needles - sharps and betweens for quilting and applique
8) Quilt frame (for hand quilting)
9) Thread. Get the best you can find. For your stash, I recommend: white, tan, or medium gray cotton or cotton-covered polyester sewing thread. Polyester threads can cut cotton fibers.
Natural or off-white cotton or cotton-covered polyester quilting thread to use for hand quilting. Clear, transparent, nylon thread for machine quilting. The thread should be thin and soft, not stiff and wiry like fishing line.
10) A 1/4 foot for your sewing machine. This makes is so much easier to do 1/4 inch seems.

Books: Quilter’s Complete Guide my Marianne Fons and Liz Porter 1993 Oxmoor House, Inc.

Quick and Easy Quiltmaking: 26 projects featuring speedy cutting and piecing methods by Mary Hickey, et. al. That Patchwork Place c. 1992

The Quilter’s Ultimate Visual Guide from A to Z - Hundreds of Tips and Techniques fro Successful Quiltmaking by Ellen Pahl

Also- any books by Alex Anderson. She has a show on HGTV (or used ) called Simply Quilts. She has published books on hand quilting, piecing, etc. She is considered an expert in her field and her books are filled with easy to do projects and easy to understand instructions.

I highly recommend going to quilting classes at a local quilt shop or at a place like JoAnn’s. The teachers know what they are doing and will be happy to show you how to do it the right way. I stated off on my own and ran into problems and became very discouraged. I started taking classes and my skill levels increased and I have completed many nice quilt projects since then.
